Over the Christmas break one of our students, Ava , was selected to play in the Gold Coast International Futsal Tournament. She earned selection after being previously selected to play in the Johnny Warren Cup (and won a silver medal!)
She had the opportunity to play against teams from the United States and Brazil, and ended up winning their division at the tournament.

We won! My team won the Gold Coast International Futsal Championship. I got jersey #26.
We played in u11 Group A and we played Brazil on Monday. We beat them 11-3 and I scored a goal. We played The USA on Wednesday, and we beat them 3-0. I also scored another goal. We played the Sunshine Coast Crusaders on Thursday. We beat them and I scored a hat-trick!
We played Ballarat on Friday, and we beat them 11-0 and I scored a goal.
We played UQ in the quarterfinals Group A and Group B playoff on Friday afternoon, and we beat them 7-4 and it was the hardest game by far.
We made the semis on Saturday morning, and we beat the other Brazil team 6-0.
The Sunshine Coast Wave team knocked out the USA team and we had to play them in the finals.
We beat them yesterday afternoon 6-2 and then I scored another goal!!!
We won the tournament, and I am so happy that I ended up scoring 7 goals for my team.
