Parents are seen as partners with professional teachers in their children's education, with parents being the first teachers. The Parents & Friends Association (P&F) is part of the school and helps with more than just fundraising; it is involved in all aspects of school life.
The P & F is an important part of St Catherine’s School. It provides a way for parents and others who care about the students to plan and organize activities for the school. The P & F represents all the parents and shares responsibility for the school with the Principal and teachers.
The P & F gives parents a chance to meet, usually with the Principal and staff, to make sure everything needed for the school, its community, and especially the students, is being done. These meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, and everyone is welcome to attend.
The P & F works as a team, and every social, fundraising, or other school activity is fully supported by that team. The P & F plans with the Principal and others to provide the best resources and a well-equipped learning environment for the children of St Catherine’s School.
Our Parents and Friends Association meets on the second Tuesday of every month (term time) at 7:00pm in the Nano Nagle Centre.
