The Sacrament of Baptism is available for children whose parents request it, with preparation sessions based on the child's age and development.
The Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist complete a young person's initiation into the People of God, while the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation celebrates God's mercy.
Sacramental Formation is mainly a parish activity, supported by St Catherine’s and St Bernard’s Schools, but not part of the school program. Parents, as the primary educators, work with the parish to prepare their children based on their readiness.
Twice a year, parents are invited through newsletters to register their children for the Sacrament program. Registered children receive a Mass Card, signed each time they attend Mass, to build relationships with priests and the pastoral associate, who assess the child's readiness for the sacraments.
Parents who join the program receive support through information sessions, emails, phone calls, family activity days, prayers, discussions, and preparation materials.
Children with disabilities receive preparation suited to their understanding and participation level. The Pastoral Associate oversees the Sacramental Program and coordinates volunteers to assist families.
The school's Religious Education program systematically and comprehensively develops concepts related to these sacraments.
